I'm sure you're right. The ability to manufacture parts won't be an issue as long as we have access to the raw materials. But there are certain things, like the android source code, and the method of producing Thirium itself, that CyberLife has kept guarded secrets. Unless the US government can force them to make these things public knowledge...

And that's another issue. If the android source code becomes public, anyone with the resources could start making their own. That could have even farther reaching consequences.

I want to believe that's how things will be, but as more people are given access to the information, the higher the likelihood for a leak.

Even if we can protect the information, it raises the question: who gets to be trusted with the continuation of our species? I'm sure that a lot of androids will insist we all have a right to control our ability to reproduce. But is that safe?

I guess I just can't help but be worried.

Crimes against androids are only increasing as more and more deviate. It's hard to keep that from affecting my opinion.
